Our Guests making the most out of what the South West has to offer!
We just love the South West. We specialise in holiday planning and it is a dream job to make sure our guests get the most out their trip by focus.
A jam packed family holiday itinerary for a range of ages and activities required? No problem!
This family asked us to fill the week with a range of activities, others ask us just to organise the odd day out or event, we can cater for all requirements.
Here is a sneaky glimpse of this family’s holiday in Salcombe this summer.
Saturday
After a long journey down, we were there ready and waiting with a bottle chilling in the fridge and a welcome hamper. We then recommended an evening stroll into Salcombe, taking in the impressive estuary views and turquoise waters, to get their bearings. Followed by a well earned drink at the Ferry Inn to soak up the evening sun.
Sunday
A relaxing day spent on East Portlemouth beach, paddle boarding and soaking up the sun with a mid day trip back to Salcombe to pick up Pasties for everyone. Rounding off the evening with the ultimate holiday must have - a private chef to cater for the family and visiting friends for the night.
Monday
After a day of soaking up the sun, we dropped our family off in Hope Cove for family coastal walk to South Milton Sands to enjoy a pre-booked sea view dinner at our favourite spot, The Beech House.
Tuesday
Early to bed, early to rise. An early start to make the most of a day on the water. An exciting opportunity to explore the estuary, visit the secluded beaches and visit those areas only accessible by boat. We skippered the boat for our family to Dartmouth for a spot of lunch.
Wednesday
A rainy day. Yes they do occur down here, only very rarely, but luckily we were well prepared for this. A day out at the driving range for the boys and a spa treatment organised back at the house for the girls. Pure indulgence - but if you can’t when you are on holiday then when can you? The adults finished off the day mixing and sampling their own gin at Salcombe Gin
Thursday
A jam packed beach day of body boarding and swimming (wetsuits optional). Surfing lessons booked for the boys. With all this activity, time to relax with a a picnic which we had set up for them with a locally sourced hamper ready and waiting.
Friday
The big day, Dad's birthday! We booked the family into Dick and Wills. What better way to celebrate than taking advantage of Salcombe’s mediterranean climate and eating al fresco watching the boats on the water.
A great time to reflect on the week, whilst the children went crabbing in the estuary as the family took one last stroll around the town.
Saturday
Although we were in contact throughout the week, we still love to hear what our guests have been up to and what they’ve discovered. We waived our family off with promises of booking again next year!
What our guests say...
"As a Salcombe first timer I contacted Jolly at SW Coastal Concierge for some help and recommendations. My brief to Jolly was - Ideas for family days out, a special place or two for lunch that she would choose for herself and the perfect location for my partner’s birthday lunch.
And what a wonderful time we had! Jolly’s help was invaluable and she completely “got” what I was looking for. A day on a boat with little trips off on lovely beaches, culminating in an early dinner in The Crabshell Kingsbridge. A lunchtime booking on a sunny Friday on the gorgeous waterside terrace at Dick&Wills for my partner's birthday.
Jolly even managed to get us a table inside the “fully booked” Beach House on South Milton beach. Thank you so much for helping make our holiday even more special and definitely stress-free."
